The electronic toy violin is the best learning tool!

The Coolest Learning Toy
Toy Violins Are Great Educational Toys!

Electronic toy violins enable children to learn as they play! electronic toy violins help a child acquire new skills and improve their current ones all the while having fun. Educational toys are great at this – in encouraging learning in a fun environment. Toy violins are not only fun but practical. Of course, there are important factors that a parent needs to consider in getting the best educational toys for their children:

1. Consider the child’s age when choosing educational toys. There are educational toys in the market available for all age groups. Check the labels of toys for age appropriateness. Electronic toys, breakable toys, and those with minute parts are definitely not for infants. Consider safety first. The best for smaller kids are ones that activate the senses and are good for motor skills – toys producing, sounds, turning buttons, push and pull. Toy musical instruments do all of this!

2. Also consider a child’s interest. A child could be interested more in music or art than in sports for example. Observe if he likes to bang things more than scribble. Try to get an idea of your child’s “field” before buying educational toys.

3. Let your child’s imagination work. Children’s play is often centered on their little worlds, and getting their minds working creatively greatly stimulates and develops their minds. The more the toy encourages creative thinking and make-believe, the better. Toys that are good at this are toy violins, building blocks, arts and crafts, coloring books, stuffed animals, doll set, toy trumpets, action figures, cars, and science and discovery toys like binoculars, archeology tools, veterinarian kits, habitats, and the likes. Most toys from Back to Basics are good for this.

4. Watch-and-learn toys are magnificent. Toys that are imitative of adults’ activities always get a child’s attention. The average cooking play set goes a long way in a child’s learning. So do pretend musical instruments.

5. Educational toys should be fun. The best way for a child to learn is probably by having fun. Whatever that interests your child stimulates his brain to get ready for learning. Educational toys serve this purpose. It is important for educational toys to be entertaining to foster brain activity stimulation. It has been scientifically proven that this brain stimulation through activating interest in a child help develop thought and reflex patterns and a good hand-eye coordination. Plus, fun is an important factor in choosing an educational toy since the child won’t even notice that lessons are being taught while he is playing. And lastly, fun is great way to get a child’s attention and focus in the first place. Thus, educational toys should be fun in the best way they could be.

Exposure to educational toys in the early formative years of learning, during times of perception with awe and surprise, when a child’s brain acts like a quick sponge absorbing great new experiences playing a huge part in a child’s capacity for learning in the later stages of his life. It is then responsibility of every parent to provide educational toys for their child to get them a head start in early development helping them explore the world around them. Grab some of these tips and watch your child maximize his abilities.

What are the best educational toys to offer a 6-year old boy for this Xmas?

look for ’science’ discovery type toys, like an ant farm, or simple science experiements he can do like making a ‘volcano’ with simple indredients.
Six year old boys often like bugs, maybe you could get him a book on bugs and a magnifying glass?
They also like dinosaurs. Any books with lots of pictures and maybe plastic dinosaurs to play with. Or a dinosaur bone skeleton puzzle.

Try the website www.discoverytoys.com. They have toys ranging from newborn through teens. Every toy is educational as well as fun. The prices range from cheap to expensive. I have 3 children and have purchased all of their educational toys from them. They will ship them directly to your home. Hope this helps.

What are the best educational toys, music, & books…?

for toddlers and younger children? Any good websites? Do you let your kids write a Christmas list or do you surprise them?

I personally recommend ebeanstalk.com — that’s where some of my children’s toys come from. With these toys your children will actually learn while they play :)
My children are not old enough to write a Christmas list. My oldest is 2 years old so she tells me what she would like and I write it down for her. My other children cannot speak yet so I get them a few nice toys — some of them coming from ebeanstalk :D

My DT: Systems and control project is to create an educational toy that has a use of mechanisms- such as leadscrew or bevel gears etc.

I need some help. Are there any toys that you known of?

I’m not really qualified to answer this question, but would some kind of clock where the kid has to turn the hands be of any use?

Anything with out batteries. I hate to sound vague but look for the older toys by that I mean ones that have been around forever. Those are the ones that have taught generations withstood the test of time. I always give Lincoln Logs to new parents.

What are some toys that are either educational or develop good hand eye cordination skills?

As weird as it might sound I actually have to design a toy for a 1st grade child for an upcoming school project. It has to be a toy that is either educational or develops hand eye cordination. I have a few ideas of what to do but if you could give me a few of yours it would be much appriciated. Thanks!

Buy a pack of 50 Dixie cups and have him build cup walls or castles – then let him crash it by driving a toy car through it.
- concentration
- balance
- Patience
- coordination
- and it is a cheap toy , easy to store , when on gets smashed you just toss it
